Buttock Implants

Buttock Implants for Men HoustonButtock Implants are solid silicone implants for men and women who are not content with the size and/or shape of their buttocks. The procedure has become increasingly popular among men in recent years.

There are multiple methods used to augment the buttocks, from fat transfer, to permanent filler injections, to solid silicone buttock implants, custom shaped to give the most precise results. Due to temporary and varied results of some of the methods, Dr. Eisemann has found the highest level of customer satisfaction through buttock implant surgery combined with or without lipoinjection or liposuction.

The end results of fat transfer techniques lack precision and predictability because the body re-absorbs much of the transplanted fat within the first year, leaving a large question mark for what the final results will look like. Permanent filler techniques, which were quite common fifteen years ago, sometimes result in cases of asymmetry and deformity due to silicone migration. Silicone buttock implants are designed and shaped to fit the existing and desired future contours of the patient, and are inserted with surgical precision through an intergluteal cleft incision to provide a predictable and permanent size and shape increase in the buttocks.

Depending on the desired results, different implant shapes and sizes are available and should be carefully considered during the consultation process prior to surgery. Templates and sizers are used to select its appropriate size and shaped implants . Solid silicone implants are the only safe types of buttock implants that the FDA has approved in the United States, versus gel implants which have a history of leaking after surgery. Once proper implants have been chosen, and all the preliminary consultation and preparation has taken place, Dr. Eisemann will schedule surgery at one of the Texas Medical Center hospitals. To place the buttock implants, an incision is made down the midline between the buttocks, creating a pocket in, or just above the muscle, on each side in which to place the implants. During surgery drains are inserted and kept in place to keep fluid from building up around the implants.

Buttock implant surgery is performed in the hospital under general anesthesia. Patients can walk following buttock implant surgery, but cannot sit or lie flat for one week. Light walking is encouraged in order to reduce postoperative muscle spasms and antibiotics are usually prescribed to prevent infections. Results are apparent immediately, although it may take a little time for the implant to slightly settle as the muscles relax, scarring is minimal and hidden in even the smallest thong or underwear. Most patients return to normal exercising within four to six weeks. On its own, and sometimes combined with liposuction, buttock implants yield dramatic results with extremely high levels of patient satisfaction.
