When performing eyelid surgery, our Houston plastic surgeon, Dr. Eisemann will remove excess, sagging skin from the upper and/or lower eyelids. For the upper eyelid lift, he will make an incision along the natural crease of the eyelid and then remove excess fat and skin. The lower eyelid lift is performed to eliminate puffiness and bulging fat under the eyes; an incision will be made below the lower eyelash line and Dr. Eisemann will remove excess fat from the lower eyelid.

Upper and lower eyelid surgery may be performed separately or together, depending on the patient’s needs. Dr. Eisemann may also suggest face lift surgery (“rhytidectomy”) or Botox ® injections to complement a patient’s facial rejuvenation results.
