Patient-First Recovery
Recovery after breast implant removal in Houston typically involves swelling, bruising, and soreness in the breasts for one to two weeks. We’ll provide you with a specialized surgical bra to support your healing tissues and reduce swelling during early recovery.
Most of our Houston patients resume light activity, including gentle movement, desk work, and social gatherings, within two weeks. You’ll need to avoid strenuous activity, including lifting children and pets, for up to eight weeks as you heal.
Your Post-Op Process
After your procedure, our team will share customized aftercare instructions tailored to your unique needs. This list may include the following:
- Incision site care and cleaning protocols
- Supportive garment guidance
- Recovery clothing options
- Hygiene recommendations
- Sleep position restrictions
- Activity limitations
- Swelling and pain management strategies
- Side effects to monitor
Over the coming weeks, you’ll return to our Houston practice for regular follow-up appointments with Dr. Eisemann. There, he’ll check your healing progress, remove any remaining sutures, and approve you to resume high-impact activities, such as running, weight lifting, and intense exercise. Depending on your reason for removing your implants, he may also monitor your BII symptoms and breast tissue health.
