What Is AAAASF Accreditation?

AAAASF (American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgery) accreditation indicates that additional steps were taken to enhance patient safety. The standards for AAAASF accreditation are stringent, holding outpatient surgical centers to hospital-level standards. Not all outpatient surgery centers have achieved this certification, but we believe you deserve the safest care in the finest environment.

Our Patient Health and Safety Standards

To achieve what is considered the “gold standard” for outpatient surgery centers, AAAASF accreditation, an outpatient surgery center must:

Meet hospital safety standards.
All surgeons practicing in the facility must be board-certified or board-eligible and must have hospital privileges for every procedure they perform.
General anesthesia must be administered by certified professionals.
The surgical environment must be safe, sanitary, and meet extremely rigorous patient health and safety standards.
The surgery center must be in full compliance with all AAAASF standards.
