A revision facelift focuses on refining prior facelift results, addressing concerns that may have developed or outcomes that did not meet expectations. We’ll work with you to build a customized surgical plan that helps you love what you see in the mirror.
When Is a Revision Facelift Necessary?
Sometimes called a secondary facelift, a revision facelift corrects the results of a poor previous facelift. Facelifts fail when surgeons perform superficial procedures that tighten the skin but do not address the supportive musculature. They may pull the facial tissue too tightly, creating a startled, unnatural appearance. In other cases, surgeons undertreat the face, leaving jowls, lax skin, and drooping cheeks.
A revision facelift may be necessary when:
- You’re unhappy with the results of the previous facelift
- The natural aging process requires a secondary facelift for maintenance
- The last facelift results are unbalanced, uneven, or look unnatural
- Your face was altered so that you feel you don’t look like yourself
- The first facelift did not achieve rejuvenating effects
